I should have mentioned the 'exe' file was in the
"C:\Users\myusername\appdata\Roaming\Saleen Software\Saleen WebDownloader"
folder so it moved all settings and the program at once.

I didn't actually install it to the external drive. I just copied the
'Saleen Software' directory and subs to the drive. I changed the moved
install.ini file to indicate where it was moved to. I also changed the
desktop shortcut properties to reflect the new location.
Worked perfectly on the first start and even remembered the location of the last files downloaded.
I did have to login to flicker again but won't know if this will be persistent or not until I try again in a few days.
Thanks again - great program and sincerely appreciated.

Thanks, I'll install it there right away.
It makes sense. I just didn't realize the program would work as 'portable'

Hi "wats izname" and sorry for the late reply.
You can install the application on your external drive.
This will force the program to use all data and settings from the external media.
The logic is:
1. if you installed the program under c:\program files\...
2. if you installed outside of c:\program files\...
the settings folder will be the folder that contains the .exe program
Please let me know if this does not help.

Is there a way to change the location where the library data is stored?
I use an external drive to store downloads. If the library was stored on the external drive, the program would be able to access it even if I changed the device (laptop) I was running WebDownloader from.
