The command line you suggested for that particular case, looks logical and the way I would have typed it.

Take care. :)

Also the caret issue does not look intentional, no.

I will check and fix it.

Hi ScanFan

I'm glad most of the issues are gone.

The multiple directories popup is useful indeed.

Now that I have you here, I need your opinion.

Let's say you have 2 folders

C:\temp;1

C:\temp;2

How would you pass them on the command line?

Pipes have different meaning so how about:

/path="C:\temp;1";"C:\temp;2"

 Does this look ok?

Thanks a lot!

Thank you very much for the quick fixes.

I often use predefined search-shortcuts, so I rarely type anything. That's why I haven't noticed the handy little button for adding multiple directories which I found after my previous post. Using that dialog I got the thick pipe as separator. I guess I'm the one who's thick. ;-)

With the latest build (373) I also get the correct pipe when typing directly into the Directory-editbox. However, when I type a pipe then the input caret is moved in front of the path I just typed. Is that intentional?

I can confirm that /s is working again.

I haven't got any backspacing-problems, or non-working searches, with the new build. That's another one to check off.

Great job my friend, you can take the rest of the day off. :-)

Best Regards

I just uploaded build 372 which fixes:

1. column widths were not loaded

2. command line parameter "/s" was not working
    sorry about that!

3. removed extra space when separating folders
maybe this was the invisible character you mentioned?

4. paths surrounded by double quote were not recognized
maybe this is is related to some paths not working in your case?

Also the thicker "|" means that the program recognized a path separator.

It is still a pipe that is bold.

If you still see issues when backspacing, can you please provide more details?

I tried from here and it works OK.

Thanks and enjoy your weekend too!

Hi friendly support :-)

I've played around with the latest build on Windows 7, 8.1 and 10.

Now hidden columns remain hidden even when using parameters. Stored column widths on the other hand are not used they seem to always go back to default.

I noticed some other things:

It looks like parameter /s no longer has any effect. And searching subfolders is not default in command line mode, so leaving /s out doesn't help.

Typing directory names and separating them with a | doesn't work for me. If I on a command line send in "c:\delphi;d:\projects" the ; is replace by a |. But that | is thicker than the one I get when typing on my keyboard, as if it is a different character? I can email screenshots if you like?

Sometimes after deleting existing paths and typing a new path, search doesn't work. If I backspace a lot and retype the foldername search works again, as if there had been some invisible garbage characters. I have no good error description but I think it is related to what I've been calling "thick |".

I'll keep experimenting and see what else I can find.

I have no new feature requests at the moment, but thanks for asking. :-)

Have a great weekend!
