Add-on #1: K-Lite Codec Pack |
|
The K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of codecs and DirectShow filters. It
contains everything you need to play all your audio and video files. This
package is extremely flexible and easy to use. It is suitable for both novice
and expert users.
By installing K-Lite Codec Pack you allow Saleen VideoManager to play WMV, FLV and
MP4 videos.

Installation instruction
1. Run the installer
2. Select advanced configuration
3. Install with default options

Add-on #2: FFDSHOW |
|
|
Note: If you have already installed "K-Lite Codec Pack", please skip this
section
Otherwise, to install FFDSHOW:
1. Download FFDSHOW (rev. 3749 or later) from
32bit:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/ffdshow.cfm
64bit:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/audio_video/codecs/ffdshow64.cfm
2. At the 5th page of the installation wizard, titled "Select Additional Tasks",
select the codecs that your videos are encoded with. A typical selection is WMV1, WMV2 and
WMV3.
3. At the next step named "Management of compatibility issues (VIDEO)" either add
an entry for videomanager.exe, or select "Do not limit"
4. Do the same for the next step "Management of compatibility issues (AUDIO)"
5. Allow the installation to finish normally.
6. Start VideoManager. If it was already open, then close it and start it again otherwise
it will not work.
7. Try to index and open one of the videos that have scrambled frames.
If an FFDSHOW dialog pops up, asking for a confirmation, select "Use
ffdshow (always)"

To allow the program to process WMV on Windows 7 64bit:
From: tomson
1 - Get and open the software GSPOT
2.70
2 - Go to menu System / List Codecs and Other Filters
3 - Choose "DSH - YV12 - FFDSHOW Raw Video Filter" in the list
4 - Right button of mouse and "Set Filter Merit
5 - Put the merit in the top (0xf00000) and OK button.
